Original Kurzfassung:
Designing experimental setups for complex entangled states is a notoriously difficult feat. For that reason, we have developed a computer algorithm which is able to find new experimental implementations for the creation and manipulation of quantum states. Several of these counterintuitive, computer-designed experiments have already been successfully implemented in our laboratories.
The structure of the physical problem (and thereby of the loss function) has made it challenging so far to apply appropriate learning algorithms, to speed up and extend the design capabilities. We hope that the talk will be a seed for an interesting discussion.
