A Study of Wire-Based Resonators for Viscosity Sensing

Two types of wire-based resonators are investigated in respect of their applicability to viscosity sensing. As mechanical resonators can show high cross sensitivities to a variety of other physical properties, especially to temperature, we focus on analyzing the stability and repeatability of the resonances and the dependency to temperature for all of the presented designs. The working principles and fundamental theory are explained. Furthermore we present and discuss the results of our latests measurements.
