Original Kurzfassung:
The excitation of acoustic resonators can be achieved by a variety of different mechanisms. The focus of this work is placed on the electromagnetic excitation, as this method offers several advantages over traditional piezoelectric excitation. Utilizing eddy current induction and Lorentz force generation in a static magnetic field, the non-piezoelectric resonator elements can be remotely excited to different modes of vibration. These resonant modes also lead to different behavior in different sensing applications. Therefore, this work aims to study, design and evaluate several excitation setups and optimal configurations for different sensor behavior and applications.
