Original Kurzfassung:
This talk introduces the available open-source integrated circuit (IC) design tools and provides an overview of the current state with respect to the "IHP Open Source PDK" (SG13G2). The overview is followed by demonstrating a analog design flow on schematic level. Starting with gm/Id-based sizing scripts all the way to automated simulations using an open-source simulation runner. Moreover, existing analog/mixed signal designs based on the Skywater 130nm PDK are presented. These designs have been created using the IIC's "All-in-one" docker container (IIC-OSIC-TOOLS). This docker container provides cross-platform access to the previously discussed collection of electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Furthermore, the IIC-OSIC-TOOLS were also (partially) used for the May 2024 SG13G2 tape-out (TO), where the IIC had submitted a test IC including, digital, analog and RF test structures. Finally, a short summary on current work based on the SG13G2 PDK at the IIC is provided.
