Freestanding aortic root replacement with pulmonary autograft, in adolescents and adults shows a tendency to dilatation in the second decade after the operation. In order to overcome this problem, reinforcement of the autograft root is recommended by some authors. The aim of this study was to show short and midterm results autograft reinforcement, with a Dacron tube prosthesis, as well as applicability and safety of this method.
