Original Kurzfassung:
Asynchronous motors (ASMs) or induction motors (IMs) are known as the "workhorses" of industry due to their strong structure, suitability for harsh
environments, low-cost components, and extreme reliability. They are also becoming more popular in high-speed designs. The bearingless version of the induction
motor performs poorly in high-speed or high-power applications. This is due to design challenges specific to the bearingless IM, such as fundamental topology
differences, rotor current caused by the suspension field, and a lack of techniques for rapidly and accurately modeling the machine. This poster aims to give an
overview over the state of the art regarding the research in this field.
