The stochastic Landauf-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation describes the magnetisation of a ferromagnetic material where the direction of the magnetisation is subject to thermal fluctuations. An important requirement for the numerical treatment is that the numerical methods respect the qualitative behaviour of the SLLG, for example the conservation of the modulus. In this talk we will discuss numerical methods for solving the corresponding system of SODEs after spatial discretisation. Our main focus will be on time integration schemes which preserve the geometric structure of the SLLG, for example implicit midpoint methods and invariant preserving stochastic Runge-Kutta methods.
