The 19th International Symposium on Electrets (ISE 19) took place in the scenic surroundings of Linz, Austria, hosted by the Johannes Kepler University Soft Matter Physics Group. The event was held at the Bildungshaus Sankt Magdalena Educational Center, beautifully located above the cityscape of Linz and surrounded by greenery. The IEEE International Symposium on Electrets (ISE) is recognized as the premier event in its field, uniting scientists, engineers, and emerging researchers from across the globe. Following a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, it was heartening to witness the electret community reconvening in person, eager to engage in idea exchanges and present their latest research findings.
