A floating thrombus in the right heart is a rare
but potential life-threatening condition. Especially in combina
tion with a patent foramen ovale. Floating thrombi in the right
heart are migrating thromboembolic events based on deep
venous thrombosis, associated with a very high mortality rate.
We present herein an interesting case of a huge thrombus for
mation floating into the left ventricle through an open foramen
ovale into the left ventricle through the mitral valve.
