We study recurrence relations satisfied by the moments $nu_{n}left( zright) $ of a linear functional $L$. We consider the class of functionals whose first moment satisfies a differential equation (in $z)$ with polynomial coefficients. We give examples for all cases where the order of the ODE is less or equal than $3$.
