Original Kurzfassung:
In the real world, point2point communications in hetero-geneous device ecosystems are hard to implement since established routing algorithms for such networks generate a large amount of communication overhead. This paper presents a mechanism to reduce this overhead by limiting the number of interactions that each device participates in, using an abstracted metric of the awareness between devices, at the cost of potentially missing available routing paths. Finally, we investigate the viability of the developed concept in a real world instantiation of a device ecosystem.
