Original Kurzfassung:
By providing examples of how self-organisation and conflict have evolved in workplaces and communities, this chapter argues that the Chávez government has been able to uphold and deepen the process of social transformation for at least a decade. Given the two opposing logics of constituent and constituted power, however, conflict between them is likely to increase.3 This chapter analyses how the conflicts have evolved in the communities and workplaces focusing on the period since 2007. Finally, I draw conclusions about the
emancipatory character of the transformation process.
