The static and dynamic versions of the body-force analogy of linear thermoelasticity is extended with respect to the following problem: in a dynamic setting, we present a distribution of imaginary forces, such that the isothermal displacements due to the latter are equal to the difference between the thermal displacements due to a prescribed thermal actuation stress and a certain prescribed displacement field.
