During the last decade, displays of all forms and sizes became more and more present in our daily life. Beside the personal displays, like the screen of the mobile phone, the amount of public displays rises continously. Unfortunately, a lot of those public displays is used for static content, like a billboard, without a reaction on the people infront of it. To support the development of applications with dynamic content, I present the KMAC Service Layer. For personalized content on public displays, some kind of identification and transportation of user interests and preferences is required. Using a compact wearable device, users can carry a user profile with them, which represents their interests. This profile can be used by the public display to show relevant content for the user. The abstraction between hardware solutions for this wearable device and the application using the profile data is done by the work I present in this diploma thesis. The application software utilizing the profile data does not need to know details on the used communication technology of the wearable device.
