The vaque query system VQS extends the query facility of relational and object relational databases with the feature that records, which do not match exactly are in the result set too. With the vaque query language VQL such queries can be formulated. But, the operator 'is similar to' cannot be used in a join condition. In this paper we extend the VQS-capability with vaque joins. Special problems are discussed, the extended VQL is introduced and realization aspects are presented.
