Original Kurzfassung:
To successfully compete with modern electric drives hydraulics must concentrate on its inherent advantages, that is high specific force and power and robustness of its actuators. These assets make hydralics first choice for systems where high forces are required and which shop up complex design.
Ways to avoid its basic shortcoming, namely insufficient energetic efficiency, can be the application of switching techniques, two of which are presented.
