Gibbs energies, entropies (given as TDtSo- values) and enthalpies of transfer of cations obtained from electrochemical measurements from water into non–aqueous solvents are derived. Gibbs energies of transfer for the cations were based on the bis(biphenyl)chromium assumption. TtSo-values of transfer were derived from the assumption of a negligible thermal diffusion potential. Enthalpies of transfer were calculated from the Gibbs energies and the TDtSo-values.
Comparison with data from the tetraphenylarsonium tetraphenylborat assumption is made. The applicability of transfer properties in understanding the physico-chemistry of chemical reactions in solution suggested.
