In fuzzy control, usually a very limited number of "and" and "or" operations occurs. Quite often, only the already classical minimum and maximum are used in applications, less often the product can be found, and only very rarely you find more general operations such as the "Gamma"-Operator or compensatory operators. It is the aim of this survey to explore the usefulness of several classes of t-norms and t-conorms for control purposes.
