In Austria the “Studienberechtigungsprüfung” is a way of a second chance education for the entrance to higher education . The target group of this possibility to enter the university consists mainly of employees who missed the traditional way to the university. This group of learners is characterised by different initial requirements and time availability. Actually a pilot project with virtual lessons for such employed students, who left school some years ago is in progress. The evaluation of this ongoing study has shown that the acceptance of this form of education is very different. Some of the participants left the virtual lessons and entered the presence lessons.
