Original Kurzfassung:
During the last few years, online auctions have become popular in conducting trade negotiations over the Internet. Various auction mechanisms have been developed and also established as an important negotiation protocol in electronic commerce. Despite security aspects represent an essential feature for applications of this kind they are neglected in the software development process, too often. In most cases security models are merely regarded as an add-on for the software architecture. In order to achieve a solid system design, it would be more useful, however, to tightly integrate security aspects into the software development process. In the first part of this paper we introduce the reverse multi-attribute auction mechanism used within a case study. Second, we provide a description of our approach for reengineering security requirements. Finally, we describe design aspects of the multi-attribute auction system augmented by security requirements.
