Original Kurzfassung:
As part of an Erasmus+ project, research teams from universities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Austria are working together with selected exemplary schools to create a best-practice example of "extended education" and to identify the core elements of successful all-day care. The focus is on inclusion, diversity and the creation of an environment conducive to learning in which children and young people can enjoy learning effectively and together with and from each other. By developing and maintaining such a concept, the aim is to ensure that children and young people are offered a high-quality and effective programme as part of all-day care so that they not only acquire selected basic skills (e.g. reading, writing, calculating), but also a variety of skills in different areas such as social, digital or personal skills. Acquiring and improving these skills is an important basis for further learning and also is intended to reduce basic learning disadvantage and early school leavings. In order to achieve these goals, the first step is to scrutinise and evaluate existing concepts of extended education in the different schools in order to highlight critical and essential elements for success. Next, a best-practice concept and a practical guide will be developed based on the data obtained, which will then be recorded and published on a digital platform in the end.
