The objective of this project is further development of the design and simulation methodology of short fiber reinforced injection molded components (sfrp) for industrial application.
IPPE JKU deals with characterization of sfrp materials and components under various test conditions (cyclic: frequency; monotonic: loading rate, temperature).
The project focuses on:
? Characterization of the time and temperature dependent mechanical behavior of sfrp materials, the determination of proper model parameters for viscoelastic models and their implementation into corresponding simulations
? The detection and characterization of various welding lines. Determination of the intensity of the welding lines and corresponding stiffness and strength values for the welding lines
Two specimen geometry configurations, ISO MPP and specially designed UD specimens will be used in laboratory specimen level. In addition to the test component developed in the previous project with Asahi Kasei two novel test components will be designed and the corresponding molds fabricated.
