Title:Temperature Compensation for Measured Efficiency Maps of an Electric Drive UnitAuthor(s):Jonas Gschnell,  Edmund Marth,  Gerd BramerdorferAbstract:In variable speed applications, one objective of an electrical drive system is to maximize efficiency across a wide torque-speed range. To achieve this, efficiency maps are derived through simulations or measurements. This work presents the creation of efficiency maps for motor and inverter based on dedicated measurements, with a focus on addressing the problem of varying temperatures during the large number of required sample points. To obtain representative and reliable efficiency maps, a method is presented to harmonize all measurements to a common temperature.Booktitle:26th International Conference on Electrical Machines ICEM 2024Page Reference:7 page(s)Publishing:2024
