Title:Development of a hybrid pump control based on a digital hydraulic controllerAuthor(s):Paul Foschum,  Andreas Plöckinger,  Bernd Winkler,  Marvin Schell,  Dieter LohmillerAbstract:Variable displacement pumps are indispensable for the realization of energy efficient, robust hydraulic systems. The swivel angle of these pumps can be controlled hydraulically [1] or by using electrically driven valves [1]. Electric feedback provides flexibility in choosing different process variables. For this purpose, today proportional [2] or servo valves are used, where especially the latter are expensive, show permanent leakage and thus lower efficiency. To remedy these disadvantages for high end pumps a digital hydraulic approach was developed to reduce leakage and costs. In this paper the performance of a controller regarding comparable accuracy and control rate but enabling a highly increased flexibility and energy efficiency with digital hydraulics [3] is shown.Booktitle:Proceedings of the 13th International Fluid Power Conference (13.IFK)Page Reference:8 page(s)Publishing:6/2022
