Original Kurzfassung:
The so-called automated Production Systems (aPS) produced by machine and plant manufacturing companies are highly complex, mechatronic systems that are primarily developed in the three disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. In the course of the digital transformation in machine and plant manufacturing [VW23], automation software is gaining increasing importance as a rising proportion of system functionality is implemented via the software. While there is a largely common understanding of software quality and architecture in computer science [Boe78; Mar11; RH06], there is a lack of universally applicable best practices for the development of high-quality software architectures for automation software in aPS.
