Original Kurzfassung:
A nonlinear control law for a seismically ecxited nonlinear structure is presented. Bouc's model is used to take hysteretic forces into account. The investigations are based on differential geometric methods for nonlinear control systems. It will be proved that the model is not locally reachable. Due to that fact the nonlinear control law is designed by the method of input output linearization via state feedback. In this special case only six state variables must be measured instead of the whole state. Simulations of an artificial earthquake show that this simple control law produces a sufficient damping for an eight story building.
