Original Kurzfassung:

CoopPro - Automation of the information flow in production cooperaton of SME joineries
Englische Kurzfassung:
Profound changes in production in recent years and the increasing demands of customers exert strong pressure on producing small and medium enterprises (SME). The market demands, flexibility, competence and quickness.
Thus, with our industry partners, i.e., SME joineries, focusing on non-standard devices, the interest in more temporary production cooperation with better IT support is increasing.
Therefore, the aim of this project is to investigate the domain of temporary production cooperations for generating non-standard devices and develop an approach that supports enterprise-wide integration of all necessary processes and information flows. This will enable the creation of scalable production networks that dynamically adjust capacity to the changing demands.
Currently, no matching automation options exist for the intended production cooperation. A suitable approach and adequate tool support would allow many more jobs while keeping high quality and meeting the deadlines, or even improving these current strengths.
The main challenges are
? Requirements analysis, esp. information gathering in the field (e.g., capacity, material flows, production progress, or quality assurance) without putting too much additional load on the involved industry partners.
? Development and definition of appropriate cooperation variants.
? Handling high system complexity with important security requirements on different levels.
This project is carried out in cooperation with nextsoft it GmbH, three reference entities, namely Lidauer, Schwingenschuh, and ShopCrea, and the Institute for Application Oriented Knowledge Processing (FAW) at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU).
The focus of the scientific partner FAW is on process aware information systems, collaboration and security aspects, with respect to the present situation in developing a solution concept and method.
